Apple BootCamp lets you create a 2nd partition and run Windows natively, just as you do now. That is free part.
Too many people make their Windows partition as small as possible and ends up being too small, hence they then run into trouble of how to backup or expand partition size.
Leopard should make it easier and more complete, but that won't be out for another.. two months likely (Amazon tells me last day of October or Nov 1st for shipping but that is a guess too).
